Mr Venu Kavarthapu is a member of a number of professional societies including the British Orthopaedic Association, British Hip Society, British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, International Affiliate Membership American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, President Elect Indian Orthopaedic Society. He was previously awarded the UK Hospital Doctor National Award for Diabetic Foot Surgery Service.

Mr Kavarthapu is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at King's College Hospital as well as an Honorary Lecturer at King's College London. He treats privately as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the London Bridge Hospital.
