Treatment of mesothelioma
Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that develops in the protective lining of the chest and abdomen. The most common cause of mesothelioma is from asbestos that affects the lungs. Mesothelioma symptoms may not appear for a number of years after exposure to asbestos and include shortness of breath, chest wall pain and prolonged coughing. Mesothelioma in the abdomen can cause weight loss, problems with bowel function and pain in the abdomen.
