Treatment of prostate hypertrophy (BPH)
Benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia is a non-cancerous disorder whereby there is an overgrowth and enlargement of the prostate which reduces the flow of urine. It is still unclear what triggers BPH, although it is thought to be related to levels of testosterone and oestrogen. Symptoms of BPH include frequent urination, urinary tract infections, urinary retention and urinary hesitancy.
