    Treatment of dupuytren's contracture

Dupuytren's contracture is a condition where the tissue under the skin in the hand thickens causing the fingers to bend towards the palm with an inability to straighten. The condition can affect one or more fingers on either hand. Dupuytren's contracture is not normally painful, although if the contracture is severe the normal functioning of the hand can be affected and will require treatment.
