Morbus Dupuytren, most commonly known as Dupuytren's contracture is a condition where the tissue under the skin in the hand thickens causing the fingers to bend towards the palm with an inability to straighten. The condition can affect one or more fingers on either hand. Morbus Dupuytren is not normally painful although if the contracture is severe this can affect normal functioning of the hand which will require treatment.
