Treatment of acute epiglottitis

Severe inflammation of the epiglottis and the surrounding tissue – Although the condition is rare, the inflammation can cause complete obstruction of the upper respiratory tact which can be fatal. Common symptoms are similar to those of less serious conditions including sore throat, fever, anterior neck tenderness, cough and earache.
