Treatment of diverticulitis
Diverticulitis is a condition in which the colon becomes inflamed. The most common symptom of diverticulitis is severe abdominal pain or tenderness usually on the left lower side, other symptoms can include bloating, fever and chills, and nausea or vomiting. The causes of diverticulitis have not been proven but it is widely believed that low fibre diet has a direct effect on the development of diverticulitis.
