Laparoscopic adrenalectomy
Laparoscopic adrenalectomy is the keyhole surgery removal of the adrenal glands through a small incision in the abdominal wall. Adrenalectomy is required to remove tumours (cancerous or benign) from the adrenal glands. Only certain patients are suitable for the keyhole procedure, however those that are suited for laparoscopic adrenalectomy tend to have a quicker recovery time and a shorter hospital stay.
