Treatment of crohn's disease
Crohn’s disease is a disease of the gastrointestinal tract, which runs from the mouth to the anus and is commonly referred to as the gut. Crohn’s disease can cause inflammation and swelling anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract but usually occurs in the intestines. Symptoms differ depending on the location of disease however the main symptoms of Crohn’s disease include fatigue, fever, weight loss, loss of appetite, diarrhoea and ulcers. Symptoms can range in severity from mild to severe and due to the fact Crohn’s is an autoimmune disorder, further symptoms can occur in a variety of locations.
